David is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Recognize. He has spent over 30 years as a private equity investor, including over 20 years at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, where he served on the firm’s Investment Committee and Management Committee and led the firm’s technology and services vertical. Prior to joining CD&R, David worked at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Investment Area, and as a strategy consultant for Monitor Company. He started his professional career as an economics and US history teacher, as well as a basketball coach, at an international high school.
David serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of UJA Federation of New York. David received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Amherst College.
