Mark Polansky

Mark is an Operating Advisor at Recognize, where he built and leads the firm’s CIO Advisory Council. He is also an Executive Director at World Leaders in Data & AI (WLDA), and an Advisor and Executive-in-Residence at HMG Strategy. Mark previously enjoyed a long tenure as a co-founder, managing director, and senior partner in Korn Ferry’s Technology Officers Executive Search Practice. He began his career providing support for information systems in the Financial Services and Higher Education sectors.

As part of his dedication to giving back to the IT industry, Mark is an Executive Advisor and Mentor at Northeastern University, and previously at Columbia University. He is a member of the Society for Information Management (SIM), and was President of the New York Chapter. He also recruits CIOs for NPower, a national nonprofit offering IT training for veterans, young adults and women from under-resourced communities.

Mark earned a master’s degree in Computer Science at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering at Union College in Schenectady, NY.
